Summary of Financing in the Cryptocurrency Industry from September 5 to 11, 2026

During the period from September 5 to 11, 2026, cryptocurrency companies announced a total of five financing transactions, and the total financing amount disclosed reached US$151 million. The largest deal was Nasdaq Ventures 'agreement to invest $100 million in Kraken's parent company Payward; followed by Latitude's $35 million Series A round.

Overview of key transactions

There were five disclosed transactions this week, with a total value of US$151 million. Among them:

  • Nasdaq Ventures agreed to invest $100 million in Payward.
  • Latitude raised US$35 million in Series A funding for cross-border payments based on stablecoins.
  • The Antarctic Exchange announced a $7 million financing related to its derivatives trading platform.
  • RealGo reported receiving US$6 million in strategic funding.
  • Geospatial data project TINA announced it has received US$3 million in financing.

In addition, TRM Labs disclosed a new investment valued at US$2 billion, but did not disclose the exact amount. The total includes investment agreements announced by Nasdaq, but the company does not describe them as completed payments. This statistics excludes financing rounds, company valuations, and acquisition cases with undisclosed amounts.

The transaction list is based on CryptoRank's financing database and Crypto Fundraising's transaction records, and transaction details have been checked with other reporting sources such as companies and investors. The total amount disclosed will be calculated once for each financing with a clear date.

Payward receives US$100 million investment agreement from Nasdaq

Nasdaq said on September 10 that its venture capital arm has agreed to invest US$100 million in Payward, Kraken's parent company. The announcement described it as an investment agreement, so the $100 million was included in the total funding announced this week rather than presented as cash received.

The transaction is based on Nasdaq's cooperation with Payward on tokenized stocks. Nasdaq said the two companies plan to connect their proposed "Nasdaq Equity Tokens" design to Payward's xStocks infrastructure. Payward will also adopt Nasdaq's market monitoring technology at its trading venues.

Nasdaq is expected to launch its equity token design in the second quarter of 2027. This is a company goal, not a completed project launch. The connection between the U.S. market is direct and close: Nasdaq operates the U.S. securities market infrastructure, and the proposed design involves the ownership and trading of tokenized stocks.

Payward's deal accounted for approximately 66% of the $151 million total disclosed this week. Although its trading status is different from the funding rounds other companies have actually raised, its size makes it a clear leader.

Latitude raises US$35 million for stablecoin payments

Oak HC/FT led Latitude's $35 million Series A funding round on September 9. The company has built infrastructure that uses stablecoins for settlement while delivering money to recipients through local banks and payment systems.

Oak describes Latitude's products as a single interface for businesses to send money across markets. Its investment logic focuses on the work required to convert stablecoin transfers into usable local currency payments, including bank connectivity, liquidity and compliance.

According to investors, Latitude has obtained remittance licenses or approvals in 45 markets in the United States. This gives the financing a practical American perspective: the company is establishing a regulated path for businesses that originate in the United States and need to make payments to foreign recipients.

The US$35 million figure refers to the new Series A funding round. Crypto Fundraising also listed Latitude's $8 million early financing in March this year, but this part is not included in this summary and weekly totals. Latitude and Payward combined accounted for $135 million, or approximately 89% of the disclosed value of these five transactions.

Antarctic Exchange announces US$7 million financing

Antarctic Exchange announced on September 7 that it has completed a US$7 million financing round for its decentralized perpetual contract platform. The announcement provided by the company was released by Crypto Fundraising, noting that Valisa Capital Markets and Lucidity Capital are among its backers and that Republic Crypto structured the token portion of the transaction.

The announcement described the financing as a SAFE plus token transaction and gave a valuation of the company of US$70 million. The valuation measures the price of the business stated in the transaction; it is separate from the $7 million raised and does not include the total amount raised per week.

Antarctic said it is developing trading tools for retail derivatives users. Claims about platform status and product performance come from company announcements and should be regarded as company statements rather than the result of independent verification.

Although this round of financing is smaller than the two payment and market infrastructure transactions mentioned above, it is still the largest decentralized trading platform disclosed this week.

Projects below US$7 million

RealGo reported that it completed US$6 million in strategic financing involving UZ Capital, Greenwood Global Capital and Infinite Alliance. The Web3 games company reportedly plans to use funds for product development, team expansion and artificial intelligence research. The number is for newly reported rounds and is calculated separately from RealGo's early financing.

TINA announced it has raised $3 million for its geospatial data network, ChainCatcher reports. The report lists THINKWARE, Gemhead Capital, Archer Capital, Astra Capital, Mayer Venture and Tidal Capital as investors. TINA said the funding will support the expansion of its location data project and the drive recorder ecosystem. The report did not identify the lead investor, so it listed supporters rather than designated a leading party.

Financing with undisclosed amounts is not included in the total amount

TRM Labs announced an expansion of its Series C financing on September 9. The San Francisco company said Blockchain Capital led the investment, which was valued at $2 billion, double its February Series C valuation. TRM did not disclose the newly raised capital. The $2 billion figure is an estimate rather than actual funds received.

Robinhood also said it will hold stakes in Crypto.com and OG.com through a forecast market partnership announced on September 8. Neither company disclosed the amount of investment. OG.com said Robinhood will route some event contract trading volume through its U.S. derivatives infrastructure; equity arrangements are counted as two disclosed shareholding transactions, but neither added any dollar amount to the total of $151 million.

Acquisitions that appear in the financing database (including Circle's deal with Tazapay) have been excluded because the purchase price is not newly raised financing by the acquired company.
