Kaiko completes US$110 million in Series B financing, leading S & P's global investment
Kaiko announced that it will expand its Series B financing to US$110 million. The round is led by S&P Global and has attracted support from many major financial institutions and blockchain institutions around the world. This financing will strengthen its institutional data services and support the application of tokenized treasury bonds, funds, stocks, bonds, valuation, analysis and smart contracts in global markets.
Investors will join Kaiko's working group and further consolidate its market position in the Americas, European compliance capabilities and technical strength through the acquisition of Amberdata and Cometh.
Various giants jointly invested capital to deepen institutional data services
Digital asset data provider Kaiko has completed a new round of investment under the leadership of S & P Global, increasing its total Series B financing to US$110 million. According to an announcement released on Monday, several major financial institutions including BNP Paribas, Bpifrance, Broadridge, Canton Foundation, Coinbase Ventures, DRW Venture Capital and Nasdaq Ventures participated in this round of financing to support Kaiko's expansion into tokenized market infrastructure.
Royal Bank of Canada (RBC), Stellar and Susquehanna Private Equity Investments also participated in the strategic financing. In addition, existing shareholders Anthemis, Point Nine and Revaia have also provided additional funding in the Series B expansion.
Kaiko was established in 2014 to provide institutional clients with comprehensive market data covering cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain networks, digital asset derivatives and decentralized platforms. Its services include historical data sets, real-time market flows, pricing benchmarks, indices, liquidity measurement and market quality analysis. In addition, the company provides on-chain data infrastructure to banks, exchanges, asset management companies and other financial institutions.
Currently, Kaiko covers more than 150 exchanges and protocols, supporting transactions, valuation, risk management and blockchain-based applications. This investment highlights the growing demand for reliable data in the market that operates around the clock. Unlike traditional financial markets, digital asset markets trade 24 hours a day, so they require consistent sources of pricing, valuation and risk information.
Consolidate infrastructure to help develop tokenized capital markets
Kaiko plans to use this financing to strengthen its data operations and expand its infrastructure that supports blockchain-based financial products. Tokenization technology has gone beyond the scope of cryptocurrencies and extended to treasury bills, money market funds, stocks, bonds and other traditional financial instruments. Therefore, financial institutions need reliable systems to connect blockchain activities with established valuation, compliance and reporting processes.
Kaiko is able to transform on-chain financial activities into standardized off-chain data and provide proprietary market information directly to smart contracts. At the same time, the company provides confidential valuation and analysis services to help institutions evaluate tokenized products while protecting sensitive business information.
Ambre Soubiran, CEO of Kaiko, said these investors are strategic partners representing pricing, trading, capital allocation and blockchain development. Their participation supports Kaiko's broader goal of becoming a core data infrastructure provider for on-chain capital markets. Investors participating in the investment will also join the "Strategic Industry Working Group" led by Kaiko. The working group aims to develop data standards and infrastructure to help institutions introduce tokenized products into actual trading markets.
Expand technology and compliance capabilities through mergers and acquisitions
Kaiko further enhanced its capabilities by acquiring Amberdata and regulated decentralized financial infrastructure provider Cometh. Amberdata enhances Kaiko's presence in the United States, while Cometh adds European technical expertise and regulatory licensing to it.
In addition to the above acquisitions, Kaiko also partnered with Standard & Poor's to launch a digital asset index and maintained a data partnership with Bloomberg. Kaiko has also received SOC1 and SOC2 Type 2 certifications, covering the controls behind its institutional services. Its index department operates as an authorized benchmark manager under EU supervision.
This financing provides Kaiko with additional resources to better serve the institutional business needs of digital assets, tokenized securities and blockchain-based financial markets.
