StablecoinX's ENA restrictions will expire on October 5

StablecoinX posted a post on X (formerly Twitter) on September 17 stating that it had filed Form 8-K with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), detailing the exemption agreements it signed with Ethena OpCo and the Ethena Foundation. According to SEC filings, all parties signed the exemption letter on September 14, and the relevant changes are scheduled to take effect on October 5.

This requirement covers sales and transfers, as well as borrowing, hedging, pledge, mortgage and other forms of burden. In addition, separate approval from the StablecinX board of directors, investment committee or its Class B share holders may be required. Legal and regulatory restrictions are not affected, and the agreement specifically retains restrictions arising under the U.S. Securities Act, Rule 144, related party status, and any applicable registration or listing requirements.

This disclosure is significant to U.S. investors because StablecinX is traded on Nasdaq under the symbol USDE and its open warrants are traded under USDEW. Its shares give stock market investors indirect access to Ethena's governance tokens without having to directly buy or hold ENA. StablecoinX filed the agreement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission under Item 1.01, which covers the formation of material final agreements. Chief Financial Officer Young Cho signed Form 8-K on September 17.

Financing sales are subject to a five-day review period

Accompanying the permanent unlocking, parties have established a process to allow StablecoinX to sell ENA to meet working capital or strategic needs related to supporting Ethena ecosystem activities.
