PAXG Paxos Labs launches PAXGy: Tokens designed to boost redemption value through gold lease proceeds

According to a media announcement released by Paxos Labs, the company deploys the reserves behind PAXGy to strictly screened institutional gold borrowers. As borrowers pay gold lease fees, the value of PAXGy relative to PAXG will increase. Holders can exchange PAXGy for PAXG, but the specific amount they receive depends on the current exchange rate.
This structure provides holders with a way to measure returns in gold ounces rather than in dollars. Paxos Labs said this also distinguishes PAXGy from simply holding PAXG: PAXGy's return depends on the performance of the lending strategy, and the dollar value of both tokens changes with fluctuations in gold prices.
How PAXGy converts gold leases into token revenue

PAXGy 的发行渠道
Paxos Labs 宣布 OKX 为 PAXGy 唯一的中心化交易所上市平台，并通过 OKX Gold Earn 和 X Layer 提供访问服务。此外，0x、Uniswap 和 Ether.Fi 被列为其链上发行合作伙伴。公司表示，预计后续将有更多平台加入。
在跨链转账方面，Paxos Labs 选择了 Chainlink 的跨链互操作性协议（CCIP）作为其专属消息传递提供商。公司表示，持有者可以在支持的链之间转移 PAXGy 头寸，而无需先将其兑换为 PAXG。不过，通过特定交易所或服务的使用情况仍取决于服务提供商的条款及持有者的所在地区。
风险须知：美国持有者需注意的事项
Paxos Labs 的产品通知指出，PAXGy 存在信用风险、流动性风险和市场价格风险。回报并不保证：外部策略的亏损或借款人违约可能导致 PAXGy 对 PAXG 的汇率下跌，使持有者面临比存入金额更少的黄金敞口。同样，即使汇率上升，如果金价下跌，也不一定能保证美元利润。
对于考虑底层资产的美国持有者，Paxos 的 PAXG 条款规定了另一套赎回条件。只有经过验证的客户才能从 Paxos 购买 PAXG，或通过其平台直接转换和赎回。Paxos 表示，在条款所述的情况下，公司可能会拒绝交易。PAXGy 的发行公告并未说明持有新代币会改变上述直接的 PAXG 赎回要求。
Paxos Labs 表示，代币化黄金允许将较小的持仓合并为足以进行机构租赁的头寸。首席执行官兼联合创始人 Charles Cascarilla 将 PAXGy 描述为一种在黄金实现链上可转让后，使其发挥效用的方式。公司的通知指出，任何由此产生的增长仍取决于储备策略的表现，如果该策略发生亏损，其汇率可能会下调。
