Chainlink (LINK) price volatility narrows, holding on to key support levels

The price of Chainlink (LINK), the cryptocurrency behind the decentralized oracle network developed by Chainlink Labs, has recently fluctuated within a narrow range. The asset was tested at $11.78 during the session and eventually closed at $11.46. LINK currently has a market value of US$8.65 billion and reported transaction volume of US$307.47 million.

Price movements stabilize near key support levels

LINK's trading model shows that prices are gradually moving from an initial decline to a more stable trajectory. After briefly touching $11.78, the price fell back due to rapid selling. The buyer then stepped in and kept the price between $11.48 and $11.56 for most of the trading session. The market confirmed support at $11.46, which was the lowest confirmed level for the day.

Although the trend stabilized, LINK failed to fully recover to the upper end of the trading range. Attempts to rebound encountered weak buying demand and trading volume gradually shrank throughout the trading session. Immediate resistance is between $11.57 and $11.60, which corresponds to both current rates and previous rebound highs. If LINK can break through $11.60, the next increase target will be $11.80. Price performance has been suppressed by repeated failures to attract buyers back to higher prices.

If LINK falls below $11.46, traders will be closely watching for further selling pressure, when the main support level may no longer be complete. Currently, the asset's price has dropped by 78.05% from the all-time high of $52.70 set in May 2021. The number of LINK tokens in circulation is 748.1 million.

LINK/BTC approaches key technology areas

Among the LINK/BTC trading pairs, market analyst Moe pointed out that the pair is approaching the lower edge of a long-term decline pattern. Since the peak of the previous cycle, the top trend line has continued to curb price increases, causing trading pairs to compress into a narrowed structure.

Current location is close to an important demand area. Moe calls this setting a possible turning point where LINK could strengthen relative to Bitcoin. However, as of now, the chart has not confirmed any expected rebound away from the trend of established lower highs. Closing above long-term resistance suggests that LINK is gaining relative strength relative to Bitcoin and may break the pattern of lower highs. Failure to break through this level could strengthen the bearish outlook. Compression in the chart indicates that support and resistance are moving closer to each other, which usually signals significant price changes.

Intraday indicators suggest caution

During a recent trading session, LINK/USDT moved towards $11.528, briefly rising to $11.59 and then falling back to $11.50. Technical indicators, including Bollinger Bands, revealed multiple short-term sell signals at the upper boundary of the range, while price momentum gradually weakened before the close.

The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) indicator fell to-0.39, below the neutral threshold, indicating that selling activity exceeded buying activity during the period measured. This bearish reading limits LINK's ability to recover during the day. Cai Jin's capital flow fell below zero, signaling that within the framework of that period, capital outflows exceeded inflows. Price actions continue to hover within critical ranges without strong upward momentum.

To trigger new upward momentum, LINK prices need to regain $11.55 and $11.60, while CMF needs to return to a neutral or positive reading. Conversely, a break below $11.50 will expose the near-term support level of $11.46. If you break through $11.80, traders 'attention may turn to the $12.00 mark.
