New Week for the Crypto Market: Intensive Agenda and Outlook for Key Events
The crypto market will start the new week with a tight schedule. The CLARITY bill vote, Arc's main online launch, the VeChain Interstellar upgrade, the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision, Kevin Warsh's statement and the Bank of Japan (BOJ) meeting will be staged one after another in just a few days. In addition, the Bitcoin incentive plan launched by Stacks will also be added to this series of important events.
In particular, events that occurred between September 15 and 18 were listed as key issues that may affect Bitcoin and altcoin prices, as well as overall market risk appetite.
Tuesday: Critical vote on CLARITY bill
The first major event of the week will occur in the U.S. Senate on Tuesday, September 15, when the first procedural vote on the CLARITY bill will be held.
It should be noted that this vote does not directly mean that the bill will become law. The Senate will decide at this stage whether to move forward with discussion of the bill, which requires 60 votes. Democratic support is particularly important because the number of Republican lawmakers is less than 60 votes.
Last week, Senate Republicans released an updated 630-page text of the bill. The new version of the text contains provisions requiring decentralized finance (DeFi) agreements to be registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Wednesday: Arc main network is officially launched
On September 16 (Wednesday), the Arc main network developed by Circle will be officially opened for use. The network aims to provide infrastructure support for financial markets, real-time fund transfers, stablecoin transactions and asset tokenization.
According to Arc's official announcement, before the network entered the public mainnet phase, its dedicated mainnet testing phase had attracted the participation of more than 100 ecosystem and institutional developers. With the official launch, Arc will transition from the testing phase to the public Mainnet phase.
Therefore, the launch of Arc is not only regarded as the launch of a new blockchain, but also regarded as an important milestone in the intersection of institutional finance and blockchain infrastructure.
VeChain Interstellar upgrade is about to be implemented
On the same day, VeChain's Interstellar upgrade will also be available on the main network. For VET, the mandatory v2.5.0 version update will take effect on September 16 at approximately 11:15 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
The Interstellar upgrade is designed to make VeChainThor's Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) underlying architecture more compatible with Ethereum's upgrades such as Cancun, Prague and Osaka.
Therefore, for VET investors, September 16 is not only worthy of attention in terms of price fluctuations, but is also of great significance in terms of underlying technology architecture.
When will the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision be announced?
The biggest macroeconomic event this week will be the Federal Reserve's decision on September 16. According to the Federal Reserve's calendar, the meeting is scheduled to be held from September 15 to 16, and the final interest rate decision will be announced at 21:00 Turkish time on September 16. Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh's press conference is expected to begin about 30 minutes after the decision is announced.
The Fed's interest rate decision is particularly important for the Bitcoin market, as the latest inflation data and rising oil prices strengthen expectations for rate hikes. A recent Reuters market assessment pointed out that the market expects the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates this month.
Friday: Bank of Japan interest rate decision and STX incentive plan
The last major central bank decision this week came from the Bank of Japan (BOJ) meeting on September 17 - 18. According to the official BOJ calendar, the meeting will end on September 18.
A Reuters poll showed that most economists expect the Bank of Japan to raise its policy rate to 1.25%. The move could spread to risky assets through the yen and global bond markets.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin incentive programs within the Stacks (STX) ecosystem are also ongoing. According to the plan released by Stacks, the 90-day "Stack Sats" project will begin on September 10 and a total of 3 BTC will be distributed. Participants who use Bitcoin through Bitflow and Zest receive rewards. Among them, Bitflow's incentive activities will be officially launched on September 16.
What day is the most dangerous moment for the crypto market this week?
Despite the various natures of events scheduled on the calendar, September 16 is undoubtedly the busiest day in the crypto market this week. In addition to the Arc main online launch and the VeChain upgrade, the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision will also be released on the same day.
The day before, the vote on the CLARITY bill brought uncertainty at the political regulatory level; while the weekend's Bank of Japan decision could affect the global liquidity outlook. As a result, investors will face a period of resonance among multiple factors in the next few weeks: regulatory dynamics, network upgrades, and central bank policies will be reflected in market pricing.
