FollowingAnthropic postponed its IPO to November, with a valuation expected to reach 100 billion US dollars.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Anthropic has adjusted its initial public offering (IPO) from October to November. The extension comes amid extensive discussions among investors about its expected valuation of up to $2 trillion. As revenue continues to grow and investment in artificial intelligence increases, Anthropic's valuation is expected to increase to US$100 billion.
The extra time may allow Anthropic to disclose third-quarter earnings to potential investors. Before determining the size and valuation of the offering, the company will assess market interest through an investor meeting. There have been rumors that Anthropic's valuation is about US$2 trillion, and the financing scale may be as high as US$100 billion. If realized, it would be one of the largest planned IPOs in history. However, the company has not yet finalized the valuation, number of shares, financing amount, stock exchange, stock code and listing date.
Revenue growth is accompanied by a surge in AI use
According to Reuters, Anthropic's annualized revenue has exceeded US$65 billion as of July. It should be noted that this is an estimate of the company's current annual income level, not the total of actual income in the past year. According to investor expectations cited by the Wall Street Journal, its annualized revenue is expected to exceed $110 billion by the end of this year.
