Ethereum price forecast: ETH bullish flag target of $3,050, despite oil prices reaching $100

Ethereum hovers around $2,470, ready to go

On September 10, Ethereum prices hovers around $2,470 after a strong rebound in late August. However, the recent slowdown in gains may be accumulating energy for larger market volatility.

The latest technical analysis points out that a "bullish flag" pattern has formed in the chart after ether rose sharply by about 37% in 10 days and hit a high of US$2,564. Based on the height of this pattern, if Ethereum can break through the current consolidation range, the potential target price will point to US$3,050.

This target price is not fabricated. Analysis shows that the $3,040 to $3,060 region has previously existed as resistance, providing a historical reference level for predicted gains that traders are already familiar with.

Ethereum has broken a price barrier that seemed insurmountable a few weeks ago. Previous price analysis highlighted its relative strength improvement relative to Bitcoin, while another recent report showed that ETH prices jumped above $2,400 as institutional demand returned.

$2,350: The key line of defense that bulls cannot lose

The current bullish structure has a very clear failure point. If prices continue to fall below the $2,350 to $2,360 range, the current flag structure will be destroyed and the logic driving prices towards $3,050 will weaken.

This puts Ethereum in a fairly narrow critical decision-making range. Bulls need to do everything they can to protect support and eventually break their recent high of $2,564. If we can successfully break through the range of US$2,560 to US$2,600, the technical argument for rushing to US$3,000 will be more sufficient. Until then, ETH was still trapped between a bullish pattern and an increasingly severe macro environment. This contrast is what makes the current market landscape fascinating.

Oil prices breaking 100 adds new risks to breakthroughs

Ethereum's consolidation period coincides with a new round of inflationary shocks in traditional markets. According to reports, investors are increasingly worried about the inflationary impact of high energy prices as bond yields climb and crude oil prices exceed the $100 mark.

Typically, this is a macro background where cryptocurrencies are less friendly. Higher yields increase the opportunity cost of holding speculative assets and put pressure on valuations across risky markets.

However, Ethereum did not fall significantly due to this. This resilience comes after a period of increased momentum in the crypto market. Recent reports show that the Ethereum Layer 2 network handles 94% of the ecosystem's transaction volume, further consolidating the active narrative of the entire ecosystem at a time when ETH prices are suspended.
