One sentence clarifies the original intention: the purpose is to create "the silver equivalent of Bitcoin gold." The technical specifications in the announcement are still valid today: using the Srypt hash algorithm, the block time is 2.5 minutes (instead of 10 minutes), the maximum supply is approximately 84 million coins, and the pre-mining volume is only 150 coins.

Incidentally, the "Coinbase entry" here does not refer to the trading platform with the same name, but refers to the data fields in the block where the block producer can write free text. Bitcoin quoted the Times 'front-page news about bank bailouts in the same place in 2009.

Second development and anniversary coincides: According to U.Today and TokenPost, Grayscale is working to convert its Litecoin Trust Fund into exchange-traded products listed on NYSE Arca.
