Coinbase与花旗银行（Citi）正通过依托花旗受监管银行基础设施的虚拟账户，进一步扩展其稳定币支付服务。借助花旗的“Spring”平台，机构客户在接收稳定币支付时，可通过Coinbase获得法币结算。该举措将率先在美国推出，并在未来几个月内拓展更多功能。
深度银行合作连接法币与数字资产
此次合作标志着双方在全球企业稳定币支付领域建立了更紧密的银行伙伴关系。两家公司将Coinbase的支付基础设施直接与花旗为机构提供的受监管银行服务相连接。这一安排提供了用于法币存款和接受稳定币支付的虚拟账户，相关服务将首先在美国启动。
花旗赋能Coinbase虚拟账户
Coinbase选择了花旗的“虚拟账户钱包”（Virtual Account Wallet）来支持其虚拟账户服务。该服务赋予支付客户类似银行账户的功能，使其能够接收、持有和发送资金。通过Coinbase的支付基础设施， incoming法币会自动转换为稳定币；与此同时，花旗则为这些账户提供受监管的银行基础设施支持。
This architecture enables the seamless connection of fiat and stablecoin activities without relying on separate banking systems and digital asset systems. According to Coinbase, relying on Citi's banking infrastructure, these accounts can be operated on a large scale. Alec Lovett, head of infrastructure products at Coinbase, said the arrangement successfully connected the fiat system with stablecoins.
Citi Spring platform introduces stablecoin payments
This cooperation also brings Coinbase's payment infrastructure to Citi's "Spring" platform. Citi uses Spring as a payment acceptance platform, covering merchant acquiring, gateway technology and settlement services. Through the platform, Citi's institutional customers can accept stablecoin payments during the checkout process without having to directly hold stablecoin. Coinbase will convert digital currency into fiat currency, and Citigroup will serve as the bank of record to complete the settlement of funds.
Notably, Coinbase pointed out that its payment infrastructure now reaches enterprise-level merchants through Citi. The two companies said the service has covered more than 150 million stablecoin holders around the world. Brett Tejpaul, head of institutional business at Coinbase, described Citi as a regulated banking partner for digital asset payments and emphasized that the arrangement connects fiat infrastructure with stablecoin acceptance capabilities.
Services are first implemented in the United States
