Solana

The cooperation comes as Solana's influence in stablecoins and payments is growing. PayPal and Western Union have used Solana to carry out stableco-related projects, and Visa has also connected to the USDC on the network for payment settlement. Data from the Solana Foundation shows that stablecoin activity on the chain has increased significantly, and the volume of stablecoin transactions processed in 2026 has exceeded US$5.25 trillion.

At the same time, Solana's user base is also expanding rapidly. According to SolanaFloor, a data platform focused on Solana, the number of stablecoin holders on the Solana network has exceeded 14 million, setting a record high, adding more than 4 million holders since the beginning of the year.

As payment companies increasingly turn to blockchain networks to enable the rapid cross-border flow of digital dollars, Solana appears to be ushering in a critical turning point in the payments space. Earlier this year, Western Union announced plans based on Solana-based, and Visa began settling stablecoin transactions on the network. This trend has become increasingly apparent with the increase in pilot projects and the surge in stablecoin activity.

Samsung's digital asset layout and multi-chain support

Samsung is also steadily expanding its digital asset landscape. The company introduced blockchain wallet capabilities in Galaxy smartphones as early as 2019, and later added more cryptographically integrated services, such as providing U.S. users with Coinbase access.

It is worth noting that Solana is not the only one that has entered Samsung Wallet's blockchain network. Sui also announced that Samsung Wallet will support USDC on its network on 82 million Galaxy devices in the United States. Users can hold and transfer USDC in their wallets, and Sui said that transfers will be free of network fees, which means users do not need to hold SUI tokens to cover Gas fees.

For Solana, the partnership with Samsung represents a potential mainstream adoption opportunity. However, initial promotion is limited to eligible Galaxy users in the United States, and subsequent expansion to other markets will depend on local regulatory requirements. If Samsung finally extends Solana-based stablecoin capabilities to its global Galaxy ecosystem, billions of dollars in digital payments will be closer to the daily lives of ordinary smartphone users.
