Hinkal joins the Mastercard Crypto Partner Program to help privacy stablecoin payments
Hinkal has become a member of the Mastercard Crypto Partner Program, marking an important step in bringing privacy infrastructure to the payments giant's global digital asset initiative. The cooperation aims to provide blockchain solutions with privacy protection at its core in a rapidly growing market environment where stablecoins are increasingly popular for applications in payments, settlements and commercial transactions.
Privacy technology integrated with global payment systems
Hinkal focuses on the privacy infrastructure of blockchain transactions, using zero-knowledge proof technology to process private stablecoin transfers. This technology allows the platform to securely verify transfers while protecting sensitive information such as amounts and counterparties from disclosure.
Through this integration, companies can explore on-chain payment capabilities without exposing financial activities to the public blockchain. Companies can integrate Hinkal's tools through software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs) to get alternatives to building confidential systems without developing from scratch.
MasterCard's Crypto Partner Program provides member companies with access to the payment network partners, card issuing and acquiring participants, and regulatory support. The plan brings together stablecoin issuers, blockchain infrastructure providers, digital asset platforms and cryptocurrency card enablers to jointly support practical application scenarios of digital assets.
For Hinkal, this ecosystem provides an opportunity for him to embed privacy features into a variety of payment products covering fintech, payment providers and wallets. The system currently runs on Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, TRON and other Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible networks.
Current integration and ecological growth
Hinkal's technology has been integrated with multiple products. Polygon Wallet uses Hinkal to provide "Private Send" functionality, while Tether's wallet development kit also supports private Send functionality. Turnkey allows wallet providers to provide private money transfers through Hinkal's SDK, and Avvio uses the platform to facilitate confidential payments.
Such integrations allow the platform to upgrade privacy features for users without changing existing products or user experiences. Hinkal's privacy infrastructure can be integrated into wallet and fintech platforms through configurable SDKs and APIs, making it easier for businesses seeking secure on-chain payments to use confidential transaction capabilities.
Striking a balance between privacy and compliance requirements
stablecoins promise rapid, borderless transfer of value, but public blockchains can expose sensitive business information. Companies that handle payroll payments, supplier payments or treasury operations may be at risk due to this transparency.
Hinkal's solution uses zero-knowledge proof: the network verifies the legitimacy of the transfer without publicly disclosing transaction details, thereby maintaining the privacy of the amount, sender and recipient. Compliance remains the focus of all participants. Hinkal said all funds are screened before entering the system, and its view keys allow users and businesses to share transaction records with auditors or authorities as needed.
Screening and audit functions are designed to meet regulatory requirements while maintaining the confidentiality required for sensitive transactions. This balance is seen as crucial as stablecoins enter more mainstream payment applications.
Despite joining the MasterCard program, Hinkal has not announced a product specifically for MasterCard or an integration directly involving card payments. Instead, the focus of this collaboration is to contribute privacy technologies to the development of broader digital assets and payment infrastructure.
