XRP Ripple enters Wall Street prime brokerage business, aiming for XRP to break through the US$1.49 mark.
Recently, a report in the Wall Street Journal focused on Ripple's growing influence in the cryptocurrency and finance fields, making it highly visible on Wall Street. The report quoted industry sources as saying that Ripple is expanding into areas such as stablecoins, digital asset custody and swap financing, positioning itself as an important new player in a market traditionally dominated by mature financial institutions.
Ripple moves into the prime brokerage business
Ripple's recent $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road puts it in direct competition with traditional Wall Street banks. The transaction allows Ripple to provide prime brokerage services and earn fees from leveraged stock trading, marking a significant transformation of the company into an institutional market. Through this transformation, Ripple now stands side by side with global financial giants in providing asset management and brokerage services to large clients.
In addition, Paxos has integrated support for XRP, allowing its partners to access the token through regulated platforms well known in the traditional financial sector, further driving institutional adoption. Currently, XRP exists in 8.1 million wallets, and its network-backed market value is approximately US$95 billion.
Institutional Development and Network Growth

Industry leaders also pointed to the growing importance of real-world asset tokenization in driving demand for networks such as XRP Ledger. A director at Charles Schwab said that regardless of Bitcoin trends, tokenization supports the need for native tokens to support such ecosystems. Bitwise's Matt Hougan describes the current development as "the dawn of the institutional era," a view echoed by Digital Asset Investor, who believes XRP will play a central role in it.
Market observers point out that in the evolving digital asset landscape, tracking investor flows is as critical as traditional price analysis. In the Meme Token space, a single trend can translate into millions of dollars in transaction volume within a few days. For example, Fomo App data shows that a transaction about "Niu Lai" turned $99 to approximately $370,000. Today, market participants need to not only focus on prices, but also monitor trading timing and token selection.
