TLDR: Core Points
Hinkal has joined Mastercard's Crypto Partner Program, aiming to bring privacy protection infrastructure into the global digital asset payment ecosystem.
Hinkal brings privacy technology to Mastercard's Crypto Partner Program
Hinkal has officially joined Mastercard's Crypto Partner Program, integrating blockchain privacy infrastructure into this global payments initiative focused on digital assets. As stablecoins continue to expand in payments, settlements and commercial transactions, this cooperation closely connects Hinkal and Mastercard ecosystems.
The infrastructure provided by Hinkal allows the platform to process private stablecoin transfers without publicly exposing transaction amounts or counterparty relationships. Its technology uses zero-knowledge proofs to verify the transfer process while ensuring sensitive transaction details remain confidential. This integration helps companies avoid full transparency of their financial activities on the public blockchain when exploring on-chain payments.
MasterCard's Crypto Partner Program is dedicated to connecting blockchain companies with payment teams and a broader network of industry participants. Members include stablecoin issuers, blockchain infrastructure providers, crypto card issuers and companies that support digital asset transactions. According to the official announcement, the initiative supports practical digital asset applications through partner collaboration, industry connections and marketing opportunities. Selected members will also have access to financial institutions in MasterCard's issuing and acquiring networks and receive regulatory and compliance support.
For Hinkal, joining the program creates opportunities for him to introduce confidential transaction infrastructure into payment products. Hinkal allows wallets and platforms to integrate their technologies through software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs), thereby avoiding the complexity of companies building privacy systems independently.
This infrastructure supports private settlement and payments across fintech platforms, payment providers and wallets. Hinkal's technology has been deployed on Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, TRON and other major EVM-compatible networks.
Existing integration cases demonstrate how the technology can be integrated into products with an existing user base:
- Polygon Wallet provides "private sending" supported by Hinkal (Private Send) function;
- Tether's wallet development kit (Wallet Development Kit) includes its private sending function;
- Turnkey Wallet integrates privacy protection through Hinkal's SDK;
- Avvio operates private payment services through its interface.
These integrations allow partner platforms to include transaction confidentiality as a new feature while maintaining existing product capabilities.
Why is the privacy of stablecoin payments important?
stablecoins can transfer value around the clock, but transactions on public blockchains often expose financial relationships and payment amounts. Such transparency can pose challenges for companies handling payroll payments, supplier payments, fund transfers and other commercially sensitive transactions.
Hinkal solves this problem with zero-knowledge proof, allowing the network to verify transfers without publicly disclosing underlying details. Its system hides information about the transaction amount, sender and recipient from public observers.
However, privacy does not mean eliminating compliance oversight. Hinkal said funds are screened before entering its systems, while "Viewing Keys" allow users and businesses to share transaction history with authorized auditors or regulators. This approach aims to balance confidentiality with the need for supervision required for regulated financial activities. As payment providers explore the use of stablecoins for cross-border transfers, commercial transactions and settlement flows, this option may prove of great practical value.
MasterCard's plan provides a framework for connecting these technical capabilities with traditional payment infrastructure. However, Hinkal's membership itself does not directly confirm its direct product integration or commercial launch with Mastercard.
