Metric launches with core integration of Chainlink oracle

Metric, the newly launched decentralized exchange, has selected Chainlink Data Streams as its price oracle, adding another member to the DEX camp on Chainlink's infrastructure. Metric's liquidity pool supports the trading of tokenized stocks, commodities and other real-world assets, with real-time reference to market prices. The team revealed that during the secretive testing phase before its official launch, Metric had processed US$10 billion in transaction volume.

The choice of Chainlink Data Streams reflects general trends within the industry. Chainlink has expanded its Data Streams product to cover 24/5 data on U.S. stocks and ETFs, allowing a decentralized platform to provide near-real-time pricing outside of regular trading hours. This product uses a pull model to achieve sub-second updates, supports more complex transaction logic, and effectively reduces Gas costs. This combination makes it ideal for trading venues like Metric-where precise, low-latency pricing of traditional asset classes is its core value.

Deep integration of the Chainlink ecosystem on Robinhood Chain

The launch of Metric also continues the trend of integration on Robinhood's new network since July 2026. Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum second-tier blockchain that uses Chainlink as its official data and cross-chain oracle infrastructure to support the entire Robinhood Chain and all Robinhood issued assets. When the main network was launched on July 1, 2026, Chainlink was running as an official oracle and cross-chain infrastructure since the Genesis Block, which means that $LINK's role on the network precedes all applications deployed on it.

Data Feeds handles on-chain reference prices for tokenized stocks, Data Streams provides low-latency market data to support high-frequency trading and settlement processes, and cross-chain interoperability protocols are responsible for passing stock tokens and messages between the Robinhood Chain and external networks. Metric now also uses this infrastructure stack to drive its real-world asset trading pool.

The addition of Metric continues the steady pace of many protocols choosing Chainlink as the oracle layer in the DeFi field. Jupiter, the largest decentralized exchange on Solana, has adopted Chainlink Data Streams to support its newly launched forecasting market. In terms of real-world assets, issuers of stablecoins, real-world assets and encapsulated assets are also continuing to rapidly integrate Chainlink into the on-chain financial system. For Robinhood Chain, each new protocol that chooses $LINK infrastructure further consolidates its positioning as a compliant and friendly trading venue for tokenized traditional assets.
