World Liberty Financial natively launches USD1 stablecoins on Canton Network

World Liberty Financial has natively launched its USD1 stablecoins on Canton Network, allowing institutions to use them to settle transactions involving tokenized real-world assets.

According to an announcement released on Tuesday, the stablecoin can be used as a cash leg in transactions and used in derivative collateral, institutional loans, asset issuance and redemption and other scenarios. Native issuance allows USD1 to be settled in the same transaction as tokenized assets, while leveraging Canton's privacy and rights control features.

According to DeFiLlama data, the market value of USD1 is approximately US$4.05 billion, ranking sixth among all stablecoins. World Liberty said the stablecoin was issued by BitGo Bank Trust, which manages its reserves and handles the minting and redemption process.

World Liberty Financial is a crypto project launched in 2024 and supported by the Trump family. According to the company, USD1 was first launched in March 2025, and its reserve assets include short-term U.S. Treasury bonds, government money market funds and U.S. dollar deposits.

Canton is a public permissionless blockchain specifically designed for institutional finance. It is said to process and issue more than US$9 trillion in tokenized assets every month, and the amount of U.S. Treasury bonds flowing on the chain every day exceeds US$350 billion.

This integration is another step in Canton's recent expansion. Last week, Digital Asset and the American Ideas Foundation, owned by former U.S. House Speaker Paul Ryan, announced plans to pilot a Canton-based state government benefit allocation system in three states starting in 2027.
