XRP Ledger activates fixCleanup3_3_0 to enhance core network capabilities
XRP Ledger (XRPL) has successfully activated the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment and received 88.57% validator support. This upgrade further enhances the functional stability of network infrastructure operations such as lending, transactions, payments and account management.
Meanwhile, the BatchV1_1 amendment is approaching the activation threshold. This release aims to fix critical transaction batch errors and optimize the coordination processing capabilities of group ledger operations, thereby improving the user experience. In addition, PermissionDelegation has passed independent security review and quality testing, allowing users to delegate some permissions to other accounts without completely relinquishing control of the account.
fixCleanup3_3_0 comes into effect
XRP Ledger has officially activated the fixCleanup3_3_0 amendment, making multiple modifications to functions that support lending, trading, payments, and account management. As developers continue to expand the financial capabilities of the network, this amendment further improves the reliability of the protocol.
During the mandatory 14-day voting period, 31 of 35 participants voted in favor, reaching 88.57%, exceeding the 80% threshold required for activation. Hussein Zangana (net name Vet), Community Director of the XRPL Foundation, said that the upgrade is of great significance to protocol reinforcement and expressed gratitude to the validators and infrastructure operators who completed the technical updates required for network activation.
The amendment corrects potential issues affecting the functions of Single Asset Vaults, lending agreements, automated market makers (AMM), and licensed decentralized exchanges. At the same time, it also solves problems related to cross-ledger checks (Checks) and pseudo-account operations. Although the amendment does not create stand-alone applications, these fixes strengthen the operating foundation of the services in the XRPL program and improve the reliability of components that support increasingly complex financial activities.
Lending and batch upgrades gain attention
Developers have prepared Lending Protocol version 1.1 to be included in the XRPL 3.4.0 software release. This update not only improves the main elements of loan version 1.0, but also further improves the basic functions of the agreement. In addition, developers expect that through regular agreement revisions, lending functions and single-asset vaults will gain more new capabilities.
The verifier's attention also turned to BatchV1_1. The proposal significantly improves transaction processing efficiency by combining multiple operations. The ledger processes each approved batch as a coordinating unit. Currently, BatchV1_1 has a support rate of 71.43%, not far from the 80% threshold required for activation. Notably, BatchV1_1 replaces the original Batch fix and fixes a key implementation vulnerability.
Permission delegation successfully passed security review
PermissionDelegationV1_1 has received a support rate of 51.43% during the validator approval process. This feature allows account holders to assign selected privileges without completely surrendering control of the account. Cantina Security has completed an independent review of the plan and the proposal has passed the XRPL Quality Assurance Test Suite. These assessments provide strong evidence for verifiers when considering broader support.
To sum up, fixCleanup3_3_0 has laid a more solid foundation for lending, transaction approval and entrustment authority. However, the remaining pending amendments must receive sufficient support before joining the XRPL main network and maintain this level of support during their activation window.
