Single-day token issuance on the Solana chain hits a record high
According to Solscan data, on Wednesday, September 9, the daily token minting volume of the Solana blockchain set a new historical record. A total of more than 263,000 Solana Library (SPL) tokens were minted that day. This number far exceeds the historical peak of 40,000 to 50,000 tokens issued per day during the memecoin boom in December 2024.
Pump.fun dominates the issuance of new coins
Among the 40,360 tokens launched through a dedicated launch platform on the day of record, the memin factory Pump.fun accounted for the vast majority, issuing a total of 34,184 tokens. The above data comes from the Blockworks dashboard that tracks Solana launch platform activity.
