XRP Ledger is about to activate major protocol upgrades designed to improve transaction security and optimize institutional account management
XRP Ledger is on the verge of activating a series of important protocol upgrades. These upgrades are designed to enhance transaction security and provide greater flexibility for institutional account management. As part of a continuing roadmap for enterprise and retail users, these changes are gradually coming to fruition.
Two near-active upgrades
PermissionDelegationV1.1 are expected to be among the first new features to go live. BatchV1_1 (Bulk Trading V1.1) follows closely, provided that the validator's support rating remains above the critical 80% threshold required by the XRPL amendment system. According to regulations, amendments must maintain this level of support for at least two weeks before new features can be deployed to the main network.
Official data from the XRP ledger points out that this upgrade mainly adds two core capabilities: the delegation authority mechanism for the account, and the processing option to merge multiple transactions into a single operation. These two features are expected to simplify institutions 'adoption of the network and significantly expand application scenarios from basic transactions to more complex business areas.
BatchV1.1: Enhance workflows through atomic transactions
BatchV1.1 introduces the ability to package up to eight independent transactions into one batch, which is expected to simplify complex financial activities and reduce execution risk. The key innovation is "Atomic Execution", which allows developers to set conditions so that all actions in a batch will either succeed or fail as a whole.
With this feature, developers can ensure that critical processes-such as asset transfers, payments and related fee settlement-are only finalized when each individual element is successfully completed, effectively avoiding the risks of partial completions. The protocol supports four types of batch execution: All or Nothing, Only One, Until Failure, and Independent, providing application developers with fine-grained control.
The activation schedule of BatchV1.1 has been adjusted due to fluctuations in validator support rates. The revised amendment replaces an iteration plan that was found to have serious vulnerabilities in earlier versions. Asset managers and developers have shown strong interest in using bulk transactions for atomic settlement operations.
While this technology evolves, the proliferation of Meme Tokens also demonstrates how quickly trends reshape markets. In particular, tracking complex trading patterns and investor behavior has become a must-have skill. In the memein market, online hotspots can turn into millions of dollars in attention in a matter of days. According to data shared by the Fomo App, one transaction involving "Niu Lai" was particularly eye-catching, which increased the value of an initial $99 investment to approximately $370,000, making it a typical example of such activity. In this market, not only is price crucial, investors 'timing and token selection are equally critical. Fomo App integrates token discovery and trading into a single platform, providing social dynamics, investor ranking and transaction notification functions to help investors keep up with the world of memein and investor dynamics.
PermissionDelegation V1.1: Account control with institution-level standards
PermissionDelegation V1.1 addresses a long-standing institutional need to seek greater control over account operations. The amendment allows XRPL account owners to grant specific rights to other accounts without sharing the original account master key, thereby establishing a secure delegation mechanism for daily activities.
By creating dedicated Delegate ledger objects and leveraging DelegateSet transactions, entities such as financial institutions can allocate narrowly defined permissions-such as payment processing or compliance tasks-among multiple operating wallets, while retaining ultimate control of the treasury. This model reflects traditional financial account management methods, where the separation of roles and responsibilities is crucial. This further demonstrates that XRP ledgers are designed to attract larger institutional participants through enterprise-friendly features.
PermissionDelegationV1.1 enables organizations to assign customized rights to delegated accounts, simplifying internal processes and improving account security without exposing core credentials.
