Citibank raises its bitcoin price target to $113,000, focusing on key resistance level of $2800 for Ethereum
Citibank has raised its bitcoin price target to $113,000 from the previous $82,000. The bank pointed out that the adjustment is based on a significant increase in crypto market activity, improved macroeconomic sentiment, and a rebound in demand for exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This revised forecast shows that Citibank is more optimistic about Bitcoin and the broader crypto sector.
Ethereum tests key resistance levels amid volatility
At the same time, Ethereum's prospects remain closely dependent on whether it can break through the key $2,800 resistance level. In the past week, ETH has failed in many attempts to stay above this price range, each time the upward momentum subsided before consolidating, and then reorganized to the support area between $2,600 and $2,660. If it can effectively break the $2,800 mark, it will pave the way for Ethereum to return to the psychological barrier of $3,000 and approach Citibank's technical target of $3,028. Recent attempts to rebound have been blocked around $2,804, and even strong ETF inflows have failed to push prices higher.
Institutional interest continues to support Ethereum's price trend, but the flow of funds is unstable. According to Farside Investors, the U.S. spot Ethereum ETF showed strong inflows in late September: $270 million on September 21,$162.2 million on September 22, and $104.5 million on September 23. However, despite the positive trend in ETF inflows, volatility still limited Ethereum's upside, as reflected in the shift in funding from a large net inflow to a net outflow of US$59.6 million at the end of September. Inconsistency in demand remains a key factor making it difficult for Ethereum to break through resistance.
These liquidity changes highlight the link between ETF participation and short-term price movements of ETH. However, positive capital inflows alone are not enough to drive a convincing breakthrough, as momentum tends to weaken near key resistance points.
Structural supply factors and market sentiment
In addition to external demand, internal market factors are also tightening the tradable supply of Ethereum. Currently, approximately 35% of the total ETH supply has been pledged, further reducing the number of chips available for trading in the market. Such supply constraints may exacerbate any future wave of demand and will have a amplifying effect on the price response if pledge activity continues to increase. Some analysts believe that as more ETH is locked in through pledges, even a moderate increase in institutional or retail demand may have a disproportionately large impact on price changes. Therefore, monitoring the relationship between pledge rates and available liquidity is an important trend indicator.
Tracking key technical levels remains crucial for investors and traders, as shifts in support and resistance levels can quickly change market momentum. Against the background of changes in capital flows and dynamics on the chain, it will be key to closely monitor ETH's response in fiercely contested areas such as US$2,800 in the future.
Meme tokens generate rapid returns, highlighting the value of trend tracking tools
From a broader market opportunity perspective, rapid changes in the meme token space illustrate how monitoring timing and specific investor actions unlock huge profit potential. In this segment, online hotspots can turn into millions of dollars in trading day activity in just a few days. According to Fomo App data, in a recent transaction involving the meme token Niu Lai, the initial investment of US$99 soared to approximately US$370,000 in a short period of time, demonstrating the scale of possible benefits in this field. In such markets, not only tracking prices, but also focusing on the token choices and entry points of influential investors often prove crucial.
The Fomo App provides features such as real-time token discovery, social dynamic streaming, investor ranking, and transaction notification, allowing users to keep up with meme token trends and synchronize their participation with active traders in this highly dynamic market environment.
