Experts point out that a large number of XRPs are leaving exchanges, and giant whale positions hit a record high.
Financial expert Levi emphasized that the number of XRPs held in large wallets has dropped significantly, and a large number of XRPs are flowing out of major exchanges. In his video content posted on the X platform (formerly Twitter), Levi focused on wallet addresses holding between 10 million and 100 million XRPs. He pointed out that such wallets added 1.6 billion XRPs to their positions in two weeks, bringing their total balance to a record 13.93 billion.
Levi then cited exchange outflow data and linked the movement of funds in large wallets to the number of XRPs leaving major trading platforms. He said the data showed a development trend that deserved close attention.
Large transfers dominate exchange outflows
Levi also cited data as of September 30, showing that large XRP transfers account for a significant proportion of the outflow value of platforms such as Binance and Coinbase. According to the data provided by him, on September 30, transfers involving at least 1 million XRPs accounted for 60.8% of Binance's XRP outflow value; while on Coinbase, similar transfers accounted for 48.7% of the XRP outflow value.
Levi analyzed these data in parallel with the increase in holdings of 10 million to 100 million XRP wallets. He believes that the simultaneous accumulation of giant whales and large-scale exchange outflows occur simultaneously, making current market trends extremely valuable for monitoring.
"When you see giant whale accumulation occurring simultaneously with huge XRP outflows, it's definitely a signal you should pay close attention to," Levi said. He also suggested that there were reasons for large holders to make such moves. "Smart money doesn't act for no reason," Levi said before adding that he was "very excited" about the development.
Commentators call for vigilance against misjudgments of supply shocks
The data cited by Levi places recent activities of large XRP holders at the heart of his analysis. According to reference data, the wallet portfolio holding 10 million to 100 million XRPs increased its holdings of 1.6 billion XRPs in two weeks. At the same time, large XRP transfers accounted for more than half of the value of Binance outflows on September 30 and nearly half of the value of Coinbase outflows. Levi used the data to highlight the size of large XRP holders and exchange balances involved.
However, Erik J. Layton urges readers to distinguish between reported outflows and actual market supply shocks. He acknowledged that a large number of XRPs may have left exchanges, but noted that a significant number of XRPs are still remaining on trading platforms.
"This may be true, but it is far from any supply shock. Many XRPs have left the exchange, but a large number of them remain!" Layton said.
Therefore, Levi's comments focused on the scale and timing of recent whale accumulation and exchange outflows, while Layton's response highlighted the number of XRPs still stuck on the exchange.
