BNB BNB has fallen by about 5% since its recent high, putting the market under pressure
As Bitcoin has slipped towards the US$81,000 mark, the altcoin has continued to be under pressure, and BNB has not been spared, falling by about 5% since its recent high. The pullback coincides with a shift in market attention to BNB Chain's token destruction plan for the next quarter. Following the completion of the 36th destruction on July 15, the 37th destruction is expected to be carried out this quarter, but BNB Chain has not yet announced an official date.
BNB falls again after being blocked near $800
BNB's latest decline began when buyers repeatedly failed to maintain prices above the resistance range of $790 to $807. This refusal to rise forced the token price back to the mid-range of $700, where a new technical test point was forming. Recent analysis points to support at around $750; if selling pressure intensifies, the next support level will be around $720. To achieve a rebound, BNB first needs to recover its position above US$700. At that time, it will be of practical significance to try to break through US$800 again.
This trend reverses some of the momentum in our previous BNB outlook. At the time, the token had climbed above $770, and traders had turned their eyes to the $800 to $850 range.
Why the 37th BNB destruction is crucial
BNB's quarterly destruction mechanism permanently removes tokens from circulation. The mechanism uses the price of BNB and the number of blocks generated on the BNB smart chain to calculate the supply to be destroyed. BNB Chain plans to continue this process until the total supply drops to 100 million BNBs.
