Exposure levels vary among institution holders. Global financial services company Fidelity holds 375,000 bitcoins, of which only 2% are publicly exposed. Grayscale, an investment management company focused on digital currencies, has 49% of its positions exposed, while digital platforms Revolut and Robinhood have 99% and 100% exposure respectively. According to reports, the currency holdings of the U.S., U.K. and El Salvador governments are not exposed in this analysis.

Security implications and technology prospects
Reasons why Bitcoin public keys have become visible on the blockchain include address reuse, or their appearance in special Bitcoin output types, such as early "Pay-to-Public-Key" transactions or Taproot enabled outputs.
If attackers are able to take advantage of future breakthroughs in quantum computing or cryptanalysis, they may derive private keys from these public keys, threatening the security of assets in such wallets.
Although there have been no actual attacks on Bitcoin or Ethereum cryptographic security to date, experts are still closely monitoring the situation, paying particular attention to developments in the fields of quantum computing and machine learning.
Ethereum researcher Justin Drake recently warned that the crypto industry should prepare for what he calls the "bunker mode." He warned that there is a theoretical possibility that advances in AI could quickly achieve shortcuts to wallet cryptography.
Drake emphasized the urgent need for market participants to prepare for the worst and pointed out that AI may discover vulnerabilities in wallet encryption methods much faster than expected.
Drake also believes that if the accelerated threat becomes a reality, organizations may face greater challenges in adapting to emergency security measures than individual crypto holders.
Despite the upward trend in exposure data, analysts made clear that these indicators reflect address status rather than immediate risk, as no security vulnerability has been observed to be exploited.
