Swell 2026 speech lineup and new collaborations
Swell 2026 conference introduced a new format that integrates Ripple's investor-oriented Swell Forum, engineering technology conference Apex, and academic collaboration platform UBRI Connect. The integration is designed to promote collaboration between financial professionals, blockchain engineers and university researchers, and the number of attendees is expected to reach 1,500.
Speakers included Tom Farley, former New York Stock Exchange President, Laide Majiyagbe, head of global markets at BNY, and Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple. In addition, Matt Damon (Water.org Foundation), known for his charitable work, will also be present to explain how his foundation plans to use RLUSD-Ripple's new dollar-linked stablecoin-to develop microfinance operations in Asia and Africa.
Another highlight was the dialogue session titled "Building the Future of XRPL" on October 28, co-chaired by Schwartz and Ayo Akinyele, head of engineering at RippleX. Akinyele has deep expertise in applied cryptography, private zk transfers and AI infrastructure and will lay the foundation for in-depth technical discussions.
