Telegram钱包更名为Walt，支持资产超300种，Gram钱包即将全面扩展

Telegram的“Wallet”功能已正式更名为“Walt”，目前支持超过300种资产。与此同时，Telegram正着手将其独立的自托管式Gram钱包推广至更广泛的用户群体。

Walt在Telegram内部提供交易、收益产品、代币化资产及永续合约等服务。而Telegram原生的Gram钱包则专注于应用内的购买、转账和支付功能。据Walt透露，加密货币卡和AI辅助交易工具将作为独立项目陆续推出，且Walt还将为用户提供向Gram钱包充值的新渠道。

双钱包架构：明确分工与协同

9月28日，Walt在与媒体分享的公告中表示，“Walt”这一名称涵盖了一个从最初仅用于购买Toncoin和Bitcoin的钱包，演变为如今支持多资产交易与持有的平台的产品线。公司强调，Walt与Telegram自带的Gram钱包将在Telegram应用内承担不同的角色。

Telegram计划将其Gram钱包推向拥有超过10亿用户的庞大平台。由The Open Platform（TOP）打造的Walt表示，其目前已服务于数千万用户。不过，公告中并未公布Gram钱包全面 rollout 的具体日期，也未提及Walt计划中的卡片和AI功能的上线时间。

According to the announcement, Telegram's Gram Wallet is mainly designed for daily activities within the app. Users can use it to purchase Gram, send Telegram gifts, purchase Stars, transfer money to friends, and pay for services within the Telegram ecosystem. The wallet uses a self-managed model, which means users have complete control of their assets.

In contrast, Walt handles complex financial activities that go beyond daily transactions. Its users can hold assets on multiple blockchains, trade cryptocurrencies, and access products linked to stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and metals. In addition, Walt's infrastructure allows users to add funds directly from Walt to Gram Wallet. [TAG

This distinction is crucial because Gram Wallet is a Telegram product, while Walt was developed by The Open Platform (TOP). Andrew Rogozov is the founder and CEO of both TOP and Walt. The two wallets will operate in parallel within Telegram rather than share the same name.

The evolution of Gram wallets

Telegram founder Pavel Durov first described plans for a native self-hosted Gram wallet as early as July. At the time, he proposed a non-instant fee transfer service that aims to reach Telegram's more than one billion active users last month. However, as of then, Telegram had not given a fixed release date or explained the wallet's recovery mechanism or regional availability.

到了8月底，Telegram开始向部分选定用户开放访问权限。初步的Gram钱包 rollout 计划逐步扩大，Durov表示该钱包将出现在Telegram的设置中，并支持支付和Telegram收藏品功能。但他并未披露第一阶段获得访问权限的用户数量。

对于美国读者而言，需要区分Walt提供的代币化股票和永续合约与传统经纪账户中的股份所有权。此前有报告指出，TD Cowen认为美国投资者已经可以方便地获取上市股票，因此使用股票代币的理由可能有限。

The report also describes conditional exemptions granted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to eligible tokenized securities venues, which include requirements for shareholder rights. Because Walt's announcement did not specify which tokenized assets or futures were open to U.S. users, it was impossible to determine whether these products fell under the SEC framework.

Gram has an independent history of U.S. regulation. In 2019, the SEC filed a lawsuit against Telegram over allegations of an unregistered securities offering. Telegram subsequently agreed to refund more than $1.2 billion to investors and pay $18.5 million in civil penalties. After Telegram exited the original project, independent developers continued to advance network work.

Walt said its next product announcement will cover card rollover and AI-assisted transactions respectively.
