Recently, there has been some significant news in the encryption community: ETHZilla has invested $350 million directly into the Ethereum market! This isn’t just a simple investment in coins; there’s a well-planned strategy behind this move. McAndrew Rudisill, the CEO of ETHZilla, said that their goal is to use Ethereum’s layer-2 network to deploy funds, while also “bringing real-world assets onto the blockchain” and turning them into tokens. It sounds like bringing the real economy into the crypto world. This initiative definitely offers plenty of room for imagination.

ETHZilla hopes to raise another $350 million through new convertible bonds. These funds will be used to purchase more Ethereum coins and generate profits through investments in the ecosystem.

McAndrew Rudisill, the chairman and CEO of ETHZilla, said Monday that the company’s strategy is to leverage Ethereum’s layer-2 protocols to turn real-world assets into “cash-flow assets” on the Ethereum network.

“We believe our business model has great scalability, with significant operational leverage and positive cash flows on a regular basis.”

More and more digital asset companies no longer simply hold cryptocurrencies. Instead, they want to participate actively in the ecosystem to earn profits. Crypto executives told Cointelegraph in August that this could lead to the “DeFi Summer 2.0” phenomenon.

ETHZilla has already started earning money from token sales.

According to the financial statements disclosed by this company through its participation in the ecosystem, ETHZilla has earned 1.5 million unnamed tokens.

The company stated, “ETHZilla continues to actively deploy capital within the Ethereum ecosystem, strategically supporting various protocols that promote innovation, long-term network growth, and differentiated benefits.”

Previously, ETHZilla also raised $156.5 million through convertible bonds. Combined with the newly raised $350 million, the company’s total capital reserves now exceed $506 million.

If all the funds raised were used to purchase more Ether, ETHZilla could acquire an additional 120,000 tokens, increasing its reserve to 102,000 tokens, worth over $428 million.

ETHZilla is the eighth-largest Ethereum asset management company.

The company was originally a biotechnology company listed on NASDAQ called Life Sciences Corp. In July of this year, it was renamed ETHZilla Corporation and has been investing heavily in Ether.

ETHZilla is the eighth-largest among the 69 listed Ethereum asset management companies, holding a total of 5.25 million Ether tokens, valued at over $22 billion, accounting for 4.25% of the total supply.
