Coinbase第四季度报告揭示美国加密货币投资习惯的显著转变
Coinbase’s Q4 2025 report focuses on the generational shift in investment behavior. The report cites a survey conducted by Ipsos Research, involving over 4,300 American adults. The study explores how younger investors are reshaping the market through their behaviors, risk tolerance, and asset preferences.
According to Coinbase researchers, younger generations increasingly believe that traditional methods such as stocks, home purchases, and long-term passive investments are insufficient for wealth accumulation. The report found that 73% of Generation Z and millennial respondents believe it is more difficult for them to accumulate wealth through traditional methods. This view is seen by Coinbase researchers as explaining why they are willing to explore alternative options.

Although the amount of stock held remains roughly similar across different age groups, Coinbase’s data shows that younger investors are more likely to seek returns beyond dividends. This drives them towards cryptocurrencies, derivatives, and emerging financial tools. Coinbase’s analysis also highlights significant differences in risk appetite. The report indicates that younger investors trade more frequently, use margin ratios higher, and generally expect returns of over 15%.
Coinbase's researchers noted that, compared to older groups, young investors conduct transactions nearly three times more frequently per week. This indicates that they approach the market in a more proactive and strategic manner. In terms of investment preferences, Coinbase states that young investors tend to rely more on self-directed and social-based information. They no longer rely on traditional financial planners; instead, they turn to friends, online communities, social platforms, and even AI tools to assist them in making decisions.

The report highlights a strong interest in copying and social trading practices, reinforcing Coinbase's belief that investing has become more participatory rather than delegated. Cryptocurrencies are said to be at the heart of this shift. According to Coinbase’s findings, young investors are twice as likely to invest in cryptocurrencies compared to older investors. Nearly half of them are interested in investing before the market becomes fully engaged in new crypto assets.
Coinbase’s researchers also noted that young investors allocate approximately 25% of their portfolios to unconventional assets, whereas older generations only allocate 8%. Looking ahead, Coinbase’s research suggests that this generational gap is not a temporary phenomenon but rather a structural change. Young investors are expected to play a greater role in the future financial system, both in terms of cryptocurrencies and unconventional assets.
