The latest developments related to Solana are attracting significant attention in the market. ETF analyst Nate Geraci revealed that several Solana spot ETFs, including those with staking features, are likely to receive approval from U.S. regulatory authorities by mid-October. If this news turns out to be true, it not only indicates a growing acceptance of Solana by traditional financial markets, but it also presents new investment opportunities for investors, enriching the ways in which SOL can be invested in.

Top asset management companies have submitted updated applications for Solana spot ETFs.
In his post on the X platform, Geraci mentioned that Franklin Templeton, Fidelity, CoinShares, Bitwise, Grayscale, VanEck, and Canary Capital have all submitted updated documents for their proposed Solana spot ETFs.
The S-1 form provides detailed information about the fund’s structure, risks, and operating mechanisms.
Geraci estimates that approval could be granted within the next two weeks, and he believes October will become a crucial month for digital asset products.
His comments came after the launch of the REX-Osprey Solana staking ETF in the United States. On its first day of trading on the Cboe BZX exchange, the fund generated $33 million in trading volume, with a net inflow of approximately $12 million.
The enthusiasm surrounding Solana ETFs is consistent with recent market trends: SOL is becoming one of the next crypto assets to gain institutional adoption.

Pantera Capital believes that Solana is the “next major asset” after Bitcoin and Ethereum, as its current capabilities are still insufficient.
Hunter Horsley, head of investment at Bitwise, added that Solana-based ETPs listed in Europe attracted $60 million in funding within just five trading days—this clearly shows that “Solana has caught the attention of investors.”
Geraci also pointed out that the inclusion of质押相关条款 in US ETF documents could be a positive sign for the long-awaited approval of an Ethereum spot质押ETF.
In fact, applicants for Ethereum ETFs have always hoped to generate income through质押机制, and analysts believe this could “reshape the market landscape.”
Although the SEC has not yet approved ETH质押ETF for listing on US stocks, optimism among issuers and analysts is growing. They believe that the broader range of altcoin options and the ability to earn income through质押机制 could trigger a new wave of investment.
The number of BTC held by Bitcoin ETFs has exceeded 1.47 million
Currently, various Bitcoin exchange-traded products (ETPs/ETFs) hold a total of over 1.47 million BTC, which accounts for approximately 7% of the total BTC supply. Among these, US ETFs dominate the market.
According to data from HODL15Capital, BlackRock’s IBIT ranks first, with 746,810 BTC, while Fidelity’s FBTC comes in second, with nearly 199,500 BTC.

However, market momentum seems to be slowing down. During August, Bitcoin ETPs experienced a net outflow of $301 million, while Ethereum funds received inflows of $3.95 billion.
