XRP ledger payment activity plunged by 400,000, and prices stayed at the key support level of US$1.38.
During a week when the cryptocurrency market experienced significant fluctuations, the payment transaction volume of XRP Ledger dropped sharply, reducing approximately 400,000 transactions overnight. At present, the cause of this sudden decline is not clear. Observers point out that this may be due to recent market turmoil or a decrease in automated or low-value transfers.
Key Support and Resistance Levels Test
At the same time, the price of XRP also reflects increasing pressure. The token fell to around $1.3866 from around $1.50 at the beginning of the week. It touched around $1.32 in Thursday trading before rallying to current levels.
An important technical level is at the long-term EMA near $1.38, which is also the level XRP is currently testing. That level served as strong support in September and analysts are watching closely to see if it plays out again. Just below this, the next safety net appears at the orange moving average of $1.335, which previously provided support for XRP's recent lows.
Above, resistance appears at the blue moving average near $1.40 and the cyan moving average near $1.43. Resistance further above is visible at the green moving average near $1.45, while September highs of around $1.66 remain out of reach.
Market sentiment and technical signals
The current Relative Strength Index (RSI) is near 42, indicating that the market is weak but has not yet entered oversold territory. Trading volume increased during the XRP decline, but remained sluggish during the subsequent price rebound, suggesting sellers have been more aggressive than buyers in recent trading sessions.
So far, buying pressure has not been impressive. To turn the tide in favor of bulls, XRP needs to close daily above the key $1.40 level, regain its short-term moving average, and open up room for resistance to $1.45 and $1.50. If prices fall below $1.38, bearish momentum may accelerate.
A break below US$1.38 would mean additional downside risks, with potential support next in the US$1.335 and US$1.25 areas (the latter was tested in September). Despite concerns about falling trading volumes, XRP continues to remain above key support levels.
Market Monitoring and Trading Efficiency
Conditions in the crypto market remain highly sensitive to unexpected events, ranging from announcements by key central banks to unexpected altcoin listings, which can trigger fluctuations. In this case, investors are increasingly inclined to integrate their trading activities and market monitoring. In a market where a single Federal Reserve decision or a sudden altcoin listing can change everything in seconds, switching between apps to view charts, news and track portfolios is costing investors money. Smart traders are now using privacy-conscious tools to integrate all functions. Without the cumbersome registration process, users can get real-time charts, smart price alerts, currency-specific news, and key macro data on the same screen.
Traders are closely watching the $1.38 support level as volatility continues. Maintaining strong momentum above this threshold, coupled with stable online activity, could trigger a rally towards $1.45. If XRP loses this key support, attention may turn to the $1.30 mark.
