Bitcoin prices remain around $81,000, and miners 'selling pressure eases

The Bitcoin price approached the US$81,000 buying wall after encountering resistance. Miners 'income rebounded and selling pressure initially eased.

Core points:

  • The Bitcoin price fell back to around US$80,897 after hitting US$86,500, making the US$81,000 high-volume buy-buying area face its first major test.
  • CryptoQuant data shows that since the price of Bitcoin reached US$76,000 on August 21 and miners entered the "reasonable return" range, there have been no extreme outflow of miners.
  • Network computing power has been restored from 899 EH/s to 962 EH/s, and daily miners 'income has increased by 78%, from US$27 million to US$48 million.
  • The position of large miners remains at around 51,000 BTC; if this figure continues to rise, it will provide stronger evidence for operators to turn to hoarding coins.

Bitcoin moves closer to the $81,000 buying wall after being blocked at $86,500

On Thursday, Bitcoin's price slipped to around $81,000 after failing to break through $86,500. According to Glassnode data, there are currently multiple large orders under the market, with the largest order concentrated around $81,000. These purchases may absorb some further downward momentum. At the same time, CryptoQuant reported that Bitcoin miners have stopped aggressive selling as operating conditions improve.

Network computing power, daily revenue and transaction fees have all recovered from 2026 lows. This shift eliminated a stable source of supply in the market. However, Bitcoin prices still face testing in the short term. Traders are watching closely to see whether the $81,000 purchase can hold their defenses when volatility increases.

Orderbook perspective: Buying support and selling pressure barrier

Glassnode's orderbook view shows that Bitcoin is moving into a dense buying area after encountering a selling wall at $86,500. The largest visible order is around $81,000, close to the $80,897 quoted at the time. Other orders are distributed below this level, forming multiple levels of potential demand support.

When a selling order encounters available demand, buying a purchase can slow down the price decline. But this does not guarantee a rebound, as traders may withdraw orders or move orders before placing a deal. As a result, the $81,000 purchase cluster constitutes Bitcoin's current immediate support level, while the previously rejected $86,500 area is the most recent clear obstacle facing buyers.

After the $86,500 selling wall suffered, Bitcoin prices have slipped into multiple large purchase areas, the largest of which is around $81,000. These purchases are already waiting patiently and will help contain downside risks.

Despite Thursday's correction, the broader price recovery remains significant. CryptoQuant pointed out that Bitcoin rose about 45% from a July low of about $58,000, breaking past $83,000 early on October 8. The price then fell back to US$80,897, indicating that the Bitcoin price gave up some of the gains.
