BTC Possible Forms of Payward Trading
According to CoinDesk reported on October 7, citing two people familiar with the matter, Wells Fargo is negotiating with Payward (the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken) to explore the possibility of establishing a cryptocurrency trading cooperation. According to the plan, Payward will provide liquidity support for the trading of digital assets. The dialogue between the two sides is still in progress and both sides declined to comment. No agreement has been confirmed.
As a liquidity provider, Payward can provide Wells Fargo with market access and the tools it needs to complete crypto orders. The move will allow banks to provide cryptocurrency trading services to customers without operating their own exchanges. Payward's Payward Services division has sold such services since its establishment in March this year. Under this model, banks can provide cryptocurrency transactions on their own platforms, while Payward is responsible for execution, custody, compliance and settlement. The product claims to support the trading of more than 600 cryptocurrency assets. Payward said that most partners can make their first transaction within about 90 days of signing the agreement, but Wells Fargo's specific timetable has not yet been announced.

两家公司近期因纳斯达克（Nasdaq）而产生关联。9月10日，纳斯达克宣布对 Payward 进行1亿美元投资，富国银行担任该交易的独家资本市场顾问。据悉，此次交易使 Payward 的估值达到210亿美元。目前，纳斯达克与 Payward 还在合作开发“纳斯达克股权代币”（Nasdaq Equity Tokens），这是一种计划于2027年第二季度推出的代币化股票系统。
与此同时，Payward 也在与托管银行纽约梅隆银行（BNY）进行单独的谈判。据报道，这些谈判可能涵盖加密货币产品、托管、财富管理、交易和支付等领域，但目前尚未宣布达成任何协议。
这些动态发生在美国监管环境对加密货币更为友好的背景下。2025年7月，唐纳德·特朗普总统签署了《GENIUS法案》，为支付型稳定币设定了联邦监管规则。
今年以来，Payward 的业务已超越其 Kraken 交易所。5月，该公司向美国货币监理署（OCC）申请成立 Payward 国家信托公司，专注于数字资产托管。此外，Payward 收购了 Bitnomial，从而获得了一家受商品期货交易委员会（CFTC）监管的美国衍生品交易所和清算业务。
财务数据显示，Payward 在2026年第二季度实现了5.08亿美元的调整后营收。其660万个资金账户持有约400亿美元资产。
截至目前，富国银行与 Payward 尚未宣布签署正式协议、确定时间表、列出支持的资产或披露商业条款。
