Bitcoin spot ETF received a large net redemption in a single day, and Ethereum ETF flowed out for seven consecutive days.

On Wednesday, U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded a net redemption of US$484.9 million. The amount reversed Tuesday's net inflow of US$118.8 million. According to data from Farside Investors, the redemption was the largest in a single week since June 25, when funds lost $691.7 million.

Wednesday's net outflow erased the cumulative net inflow of US$321.6 million in the first four trading days of October, giving the Bitcoin ETF an overall net redemption status of approximately US$163 million in October.

Among major products, BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) became the main force of redemption on Wednesday, with a single redemption amount of US$207.7 million, followed closely by Fidelity's FBTC with a redemption amount of US$105.1 million, and ARK21 Shares 'ARKB with a redemption amount of US$101.7 million. It is worth noting that IBIT recorded a net inflow of US$122 million in the previous trading day.

On the market side, Bitcoin was quoted at around $82,700 on Thursday, down about 2% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data.

At the same time, the U.S. spot Ethereum ETF also suffered a withdrawal of funds. On Wednesday, the Ethereum-based ETF recorded a net redemption of $160.9 million, putting it in a net outflow for seven consecutive trading days. Since September 29, Ethereum-related funds have shrunk by approximately US$569 million. Among them, BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) accounted for $116.1 million of Wednesday's redemptions, followed by Grayscale's Ethereum Trust (ETHA) with $25.8 million.
