NEAR Analysts expect that established agreements such as AAVE, LINK and NEAR will outperform the new altcoins in this cycle.
The total market value excluding the top 10 has now reached approximately US$247.8 billion after rising from approximately US$198 billion in early September. Small-cap markets face resistance of $250 billion to $255 billion, with $240 billion being the primary key support level.
Van de Poppe favors mature agreements
Analyst Michael van de Poppe predicts that this round of crypto market cycle will favor mature altcoin agreements rather than new projects. He pointed out that the weak performance of altcoins during the 2024 bull market could make this cycle different. He cited AAVE, LINK and NEAR as examples. Teams under these established agreements are still improving their products in order to seek product-market fit.
Van de Poppe said that past cycles have often rewarded investors who turn to new altcoins. However, he does not believe the current cycle will follow this pattern. He attributed this view in part to the weak performance of altcoins in the 2024 bull market. Instead, he advises investors to assess whether the project team can continue to improve its products. According to Van de Poppe, resilience is crucial because the team needs to continue developing products to achieve product fit with the market. He identified AAVE, LINK and NEAR as models of mature agreements.

Market data shows that trading activity of non-top ten cryptocurrencies is active. Excluding the top 10, the total market value is close to US$247.8 billion, and the latest four-hour K offline fell US$721.94 million, a drop of 0.29%.
