BTC Recently, the crypto community has been in an uproar due to a mysterious trader who has been betting heavily on bear markets involving Bitcoin. In just two days, he invested nearly $500 million, using a leverage ratio of 10 times. People in the community are speculating about who this “inside whale” might be, and why he would be so bold in his actions. Under the transparency of blockchain-based records, this major battle over Bitcoin once again leaves everyone holding their breath.
Hyperliquid, a whale that made a profit of $192 million from short selling during the recent market crash, has doubled its bets on its new short positions, investing nearly $500 million in just two days.
According to data from Hyperliquid’s block explorer Hypurrscan, this whale now holds a short position worth approximately $496 million, using a leverage ratio of 10 times. The current price of Bitcoin is $124,270.

Since yesterday, this whale’s betting amount has more than doubled, starting with an initial investment of $163 million. This represents another aggressive short-selling move within the past week.
This cryptocurrency investor attracted attention two months ago for holding Bitcoin worth $11 billion. Last week, they opened short positions worth $900 million in Bitcoin and Ethereum.
This whale once again caught attention less than an hour after President Trump announced tariff policies on Friday. It was a coincidence, but the crypto market fell as a result.
